Students Supporting Students Through Hygiene Kit Packing

This year, 34 juniors from Iredell-Statesville Schools showed what it means to support their community in a meaningful way. Through a hands-on volunteer effort, these students packed hygiene kits for their peers experiencing housing insecurity.

Together, they packed more than 10,000 hygiene products, assembling 410 full-sized hygiene kits filled with essentials like body wipes, deodorant, soap, lotion, and one of the most requested items—body spray.

These are not just products. They are the everyday essentials that help students feel confident, prepared, and able to show up for school.

For students experiencing housing instability, access to hygiene products can directly impact attendance, confidence, and overall well-being.
